Sustainable Transportation hits a Speed-Bump in Maine

Maine's ZOOM busThis year, we’ve been working on a bill (LD 673) to expand the crowded ZOOM bus line to include more express routes to downtown areas along the Maine Turnpike corridor.

Unfortunately, the bill died in the Transportation Committee on Tuesday, with a unanimous vote to kill the bill.

We’re going to continue to push for more accessible, efficient and green transportation options in the future.

Right now, Maine is the fourth most oil-dependent state in the country. On Monday, the state’s energy committee is holding a hearing on a bill that could help reduce Maine’s dependence on oil. Please RSVP here if you can show up to support clean energy in Maine.
